NANCY COOPER is the author of The Trading Tree, a dual-language picture book written in Objibwe and English. She is from the Chippewas of Rama First Nation, and lives in Toronto with her wife and twin 12 year old boys.

MELANIE FLORENCE is the author of the picture books Missing Nimama and Stolen Words; her books for older readers include The Missing and Rez Runaway.  Melanie is of Cree and Scottish heritage; her close childhood relationship with her grandfather sparked her interest in writing about Indigenous themes and characters.
