CANSCAIP DECEMBER MEETING
DATE: Wed. Dec. 14 at 7:00 pm
Join us for our very special December meeting with books to buy and desserts to nibble!
SPEAKERS & TOPIC: The author/illustrators will talk about being sisters in the biz and share some of their experiences. Debbie Ridpath Ohi is the author/illustrator of WHERE ARE MY BOOKS? She has illustrated NAKED! and I'M BORED by Michael Ian Black, the RUBY ROSE books by Rob Sanders, and Judy Blume chapter book and middle grade reissues. Ruth Ohi has illustrated over 60 books (19 of which she is also the author). Her recent books include SCRIBBLE and FOX AND SQUIRREL THE BEST CHRISTMAS EVER. She has been shortlisted for awards such as the Marilyn Baillie Picture Book, Shining Willow, Rainforest of Reading and Blue Spruce.
DESSERT POTLUCK: Our December dessert potluck is a CANSCAIP tradition, so bring something yummy! (And if you don't bring anything, come anyway. There's always plenty!) Coffee, plates and forks supplied.
BOOK SALES: Feel free to bring copies of your newest book to sell (3 to 5 is usually enough). Everyone looks after their own sales, so bring loonies and toonies to make change. We suggest rounding prices (e.g., $10.00 instead of $10.95) to make sales easier to tally.
ANNOUNCEMENTS BY MEMBERS: Got a new book? Won an award? Book launch coming up? Announce it at the meeting! Put Member Announcement and your name in the subject line, and send the following information to office@canscaip.
- Your name
- Book title (and/or launch, award, tour)
