Bio
Suzanne is a children's book author and illustrator. She illustrated Skink on the Brink by Lisa Dalrimple(Fitzhenry & Whiteside 2013), winner of the SCBWI 2014 Crystal Kite Award; Gerbil, Uncurled by Alison Hughes (Fitzhenry & Whiteside 2015), Sky Pig by Jan Coates(Pajama Press, 2016),My Beautiful Birds by Suzanne Del Rizzo (Pajama Press, 2017) a JLG selection and 2018 Malka Penn Award for Human Rights in Children's Literature and 2018 SCBWI Crystal Kite Award winner. Sun Dog by Deborah Kerbel (Pajama Press, 2018) a Forest of Reading Blue Spruce Honour book, IODE Jean Throop Award winner; Before You Were Born also by Deborah Kerbel; Suzanne's latest book, Golden Threads, illustrate by Miki Sato, published by Owlkids Books. Suzanne's illustrations are created using plasticine or polymer clay and mixed media that are 3D scanned or photographed for print. She lives in Oakville Ontario with her 4 children and husband.
