LOCATION: via Zoom. On the day of the meeting, the link to Zoom will be sent to everyone who has registered.

MEETING FORMAT: For many years, Toronto-area Members and Friends have attended monthly CANSCAIP meetings held on the second Wednesday of the month. We’re excited that our meetings can now be attended by Members and Friends across Canada.

Our monthly meetings begin with remarks from President Sharon Jennings, followed by Member announcements, and then with a presentation by speakers. 

MEMBER ANNOUNCEMENTS: Celebrating a new book? Having an event? Teaching a course? Other news? Announce it at the meeting!
NOTE: Please keep announcements to about two minutes. You'll be asked to turn your camera and microphone on to make your announcement.

MEETING SPEAKERS: A panel about challenges and opportunities for school virtual visits during Covid. Discussion points will include privacy, virtual visit rates, virtual visit ideas, curriculum tie-ins, and how to get virtual visits. 

NATASHA DEEN writes for kids, teens, and adults. Her stories have been CCBC Best Picks and Junior Library Guild selections, nominated for awards, and made several Must Read lists. When she’s not writing, Natasha spends her time trying to convince her pets that she’s the boss of the house. www.natashadeen.com.

MAHTAB NARSIMHAN is an award-winning author with numerous critically acclaimed books, nominated for several awards, including The Third Eye which won the Silver Birch Fiction Award. She is inspired by the desire to make sense of the world through stories and is deeply committed to representing diversity in her books.  www.mahtabnarsimhan.com 

DR. KARI-LYNN WINTERS is a children's author, playwright, performer, and scholar. Since 2007, she has authored over 27 books. Kari-Lynn is an Associate Professor in Brock University ‘s Faculty of Education. Her research interests include arts education, children’s literature, and embodied literacies. She lives in St. Catharines, Ontario with her two kids and three cats. www.kariwinters.com
